The Purpose:
If you have found this blog, chances are, you're a photographer. So am I!! As a beginner photographer, I had a hard time finding resources on how to build a photography business from scratch. I was super young and had no formal training or experience, but what I did have was a passion for entrepreneurship and photography. So, Maggie Alyse Photography was born during my senior year of highschool. I won't bore you with the story (you can read it on my about page if you so desire) but I will give you a little background into who I am.
But first, I want you to know that the purpose of this blog is to serve other photographers who need guidance on how to build a business, find clients, grow in their skills, and much more. I am not an expert, but I have learned a lot and my goal is to bring YOU on this journey of learning with me!
Who on earth am I?
I figured you would like to know who you're hearing from right now! My name is Maggie and I am a brand and portrait photographer in Middle Tennessee. I focus mostly on branding sessions, product photography, and senior photos.
Here are some facts about me:
- I grew up just south of Nashville
- I was homeschooled my whole life
- I just finished my Associates degree in Entrepreneurship at my local community college
- I have been doing professional photography for 2 and a half years
- I love dogs, traveling, hiking, and those chocolate covered dried strawberries from Aldi (try them, they're the bomb)!!
- Jesus and family are the most important things to me!

I'll be the first to admit that I am not the best photographer, most knowledgable in my trade, or an expert by any means. What I am is willing to grow. In my opinion, that's the most important part of being a photographer. You will always be learning and adapting, so let's do it together!
